Columbia School District (CSD) is working hard to keep our community up to date on the latest information concerning COVID-19. The safety of our students, staff, and community are paramount. District staff continue to work closely with the Walla Walla Health Department (WWHD) to implement safety recommendations and protocols when there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 amongst staff or students.
When district officials learn of a confirmed case, we begin working with WWHD officials immediately to identify any "close contacts" as part of our contact tracing procedures to prevent the spread or transmission. Close contact is defined as within 6 feet for a cumulative total of 15 or more minutes over a 24-hour period with anyone with confirmed COVID-19 during the infectious period. If a close contact is identified, students, staff or parents/guardians will be notified at once along with information concerning quarantining.
The CSD COVID Dashboard below will keep you up to date on current cases and transmission within our schools. The dashboard will be updated weekly to inform you of current cases. We are hoping this information is helpful for parents and families. It is important to note that we are required to follow privacy laws that will not allow us to disclose names of infected students or staff unless there is a medical reason for sharing that information.
Below you will also find some other helpful links that provide larger county and state case updates. Please keep in mind, the numbers you see below are specific only to Columbia School District. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact your child's school for additional information.
