CSD Recognized by Washington State!

As we inch closer to the finish line of another incredible school year here in Columbia School District, we have some exciting news to share!

This spring, Columbia School District was honored as part of the Washington State School Recognition Program, which celebrates schools making exceptional strides in academic growth, closing learning gaps, and promoting student success. Of over 2,500 schools across the state, only 406 were selected for this recognition—and both Columbia High School and Columbia Middle School made the list!

Columbia Middle School was recognized in the Closing Gaps category for making significant improvements in key areas such as assessment performance and equitable student support. At the same time, Columbia High School earned recognition for Growth—specifically highlighting the outstanding academic progress made by our students receiving Special Education services.

This recognition is more than a banner on a wall—it’s a reflection of the hard work, care, and collaboration that happens every day in our schools. It speaks to our dedicated staff, determined students, and the unwavering support of families like yours. Together, we’ve shown what’s possible when a community comes together to ensure that every student, every day, has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive.

Congratulations, Coyotes! And from all of us, thank you for partnering with us on this journey. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made together and excited for what’s to come.
