SENIORS: TODAY IS THE DEADLINE TO TURN IN PERMISSION SLIPS SIGNED BY PARENTS TO ATTEND THE SENIOR TRIP. THE FORMS MUST BE TURNED INTO MS KELLY OR MS TINA BY 2:45PM OR YOU WILL NOT GO.  ALSO TODAY IS THE DEADLINE TO TURN IN PAPERWORK WITH FUTURE PLANS AND SCHOLARSHIP MONEY AWARDED TO YOU SO FAR THIS YEAR.  FORMS SHOULD BE TURNED INTO MS KELLY OR MS TINA BY 2:45PM TODAY.

 

Today is the final visit of the Burbank Community Library.  Stop by the book table in the commons at lunch and find a good book to read for summertime.  (Please run this on Wednesday)

There is a blue sleeping bag in the office left here from the Every Fifteen Minutes Program.  Please pick it up or it will be donated to Goodwill.

 

If you pre-purchased a yearbook and did not attend the Signing Party last night, you may pick up your yearbook from Mrs. Aune before school, during lunch, or after school.  If you have not bought a yearbook yet, there are still some available in the library for $55.00 each.

 

Lili Lott and Will Vernam both qualified for the state track meet this weekend. Will is the district champion for high jump and Lili placed 3rd in the 400 meter run. We leave Thursday morning and will finish Saturday afternoon. So wish them luck as you see them through the week. Evan Harvill made it to State in Golf…. Congratulations to all 3 State qualifiers.

Community BBQ MS & HS ART SHOW

Art room today, during the BBQ from 11am-1 pm

 

Attention Seniors!  If you have not turned your after grad permission slip you MUST do so by Friday!!  Ms Larios has extra copies if you need them! There will be knockerball, human fooseball, swimming, rock climbing, We Ice and more!!  By not attending you will be missing out on amazing prizes like TV’s, Tools, Kindles, Laptops, cash prizes and much, much, more!! Friday is the official deadline so the parent group can get everything purchased and ready for a fun night!

State Testing for Math begins today.  All sophomore will be testing!  Some juniors and seniors will be testing also.  There are lists all over the school for sophomores, juniors and seniors who will be testing.  Check the list for the day and the room number you will be testing in.  Some students will be testing on Thursday in the Library because there are not enough laptops.  Please bring your own headphones or earbuds to use on the test.

 

Mandatory senior meeting at lunch this Friday, May 11th, in Ms. Kelly’s room.  Please attend and get all the information for the final weeks of school.

 

Interested in leading Columbia High School next year?  ASB officer applications are available in the office, deadline for submission is 5/16 by noon.  Election speeches will take place on 5/22.  See Mr. Miller or any ASB officer for more details.

State testing begins tomorrow. All Sophomores will be testing along with a handful of Juniors and Seniors.  There are several rosters around the school.    There will be testing in the Library and the other Computer Lab.  Check to see if your name is on the list AND where you are assigned to test!  You will need to bring your own headphones or ear buds.  The school does not have enough for everyone.  YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GRADUATE WITHOUT PASSING THESE STATE TESTS!!

 

Please do not bring your bikes into the building.  There is a bicycle rack outside the front of the building. 

 

How great is this spring weather we’ve been loving this week? You know what else happens with spring time – Prom. That’s right, the CHS juniors are happy to announce that Prom is Saturday, May 5th, from 8:00 to 11:00 (if you’re wondering, yes that’s PM!) Cost is $20 until the night of the dance, and then it is $25 if you pay at the door. Get your money to Mrs. Melton.  Enchanted Forest is the theme, and we’re excited to have a professional DJ and offer a photo booth to help us remember the night forever!  Come dance the night away and enjoy the last major dance of the year.
